Domain Management

Domains in PlanningIT enable customers to structure the Enterprise along the lines of capabilities and structure the Enterprise from a functional point of view, often a necessary step in order to define a service-oriented architecture. Domains/Capabilities can then be evaluated with regards to how those capabilities are currently and in the future supported by IT initiatives. The colors in above screenshot of a domain model can represent a cost view, a satisfaction view or any other indicator that is associated with the capability. Domains can be defined from a business or a technology point of view.
